About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build rapport and trust with clients by consistently delivering exceptional service
  • Process and input customer orders
  • Run and print shipments from WMS
  • Run stock reports to check product availability
  • Generate paperwork and information required for customer work orders
  • Check orders for special requests
  • Expedite and trace orders, and notify customers of merchandise activity
  • Follow up with departments to ensure service standards are met
  • Verify customer accounts for proper invoicing
  • Handle returned merchandise and ensure proper customer credit
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoicing, shipments, and inventory management
  • Liaise between the warehouse and customers regarding account administration, and between the office and customers regarding invoicing and credit changes
  • Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents
  • Gather and maintain shipping and receiving data and records
  • Reconcile receiving counts with packing lists and purchase orders, and shipping counts with picking documents
  • Prepare customer service reports as required by supervisors
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Enter and verify data for customer orders, shipments, receipts, physical inventories, and adjustments
  • Maintain order paperwork and corresponding files
  • Answer phones, operate office machines and computers, greet visitors, and correspond with customers
  • Route calls, take messages, provide general information, direct visitors, and assist drivers at the check-in window
  • Cross-train in other administrative functions as needed
  • Work overtime as dictated by business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year experience in a Customer Service-related capacity
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications
  • WMS functions knowledge
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Business writing proficiency
  • Intermediate mathematical skills for verifying product quantities, counting inventory, and related duties
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to multitask
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a stimulating, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to walk and stand constantly, bend frequently, and lift/carry/push/pull 21–50 pounds
  • 1–3 years of warehouse/logistics support experience preferred
  • 2–3 years of Customer Service-related experience preferred
