About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Authorise operational requirements for efficient customs and security clearances
- Identify tariffs or initiatives benefiting customers in the clearance of goods
- Maintain and audit client product files
- Arrange customs clearance and delivery
- Handle client enquiries, including tariff classifications and concessions
- Ensure compliance with Australian Customs and Quarantine and Inspection requirements
- Contribute to timely lodgment of declarations and attainment of clearances
- Resolve issues and provide technical advice to customers and team members
- Maximise pre-clearance levels
- Implement process improvements
- Liaise with customers, company management, and suppliers
- Establish strong customer service relationships
- Obtain information or action results from other departments and service providers
- Complete accurate administrative paperwork and records
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Customs Brokers License
- AEP Accreditation 19.1 (NCCC) and 19.2 (AEPCOM)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet KPIs
- Planning and organisational skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to liaise with other departments and service providers
- Ability to complete paperwork clearly, legibly, and accurately
- Ability to ensure accurate data recording
