About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide and maintain effective material orders, customer service, and inventory management
  • Handle customer material movement requests
  • Assemble and install servers and electronic components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound freight
  • Perform quality checks for accurate part numbers, quantities, and material condition
  • Execute inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical datacenter spare parts
  • Process returns using multiple warehouse management systems
  • Place server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy
  • Populate electronic components and install cabling in server racks using diagrams and schematics
  • Install rack hardware
  • Operate straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks
  • Clean work areas according to safety, cleanliness, and 5S standards
  • Adhere daily to safety and process procedures
  • Interact with customers and onsite stakeholders and build positive working relationships
  • Make confident decisions using provided information and data to meet production goals
  • Remain punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, quality-focused, flexible, and able to cross-train across datacenter departments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–3 years of related experience
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Critical thinking and good analytical skills
  • Experience with computers
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols
  • Ability to work with live electrical and electronic equipment and components
  • Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to pass required federal/state/local government, airport, or company background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift frequently throughout the workday
