Data Center Team Lead
DSV - Global Transport and Logistics. Provide and maintain effective material orders, customer service, and inventory management .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide and maintain effective material orders, customer service, and inventory management
- Handle customer material movement requests
- Oversee loading and unloading inbound and outbound freight
- Manage shipping documents and records
- Perform quality checks on freight, part numbers, quantities, and material condition
- Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical datacenter spare parts
- Process returns of electronic components using warehouse management systems
- Oversee and perform server rack placement using laser measuring devices
- Oversee and perform electronic component population and cabling installation according to diagrams and schematics
- Install rack hardware using hand, power, and measuring tools
- Operate material handling equipment
- Oversee and perform cleanup activities, maintaining safety, cleanliness, and 5S standards
- Delegate and coach team members
- Collaborate with customers and onsite stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of related experience
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
- Experience with computers
- Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols
- Ability to work with live electrical and electronic equipment and components
- Ability to pass required federal/state/local government, airport, or company background checks and clearances
- Ability to pass required drug and alcohol tests
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to push, pull, and lift frequently throughout the workday
- Ability to operate straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, laser measuring devices, diagrams, and schematics
