About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and deliver required DSV and client training courses
  • Monitor, measure, and report employee training and development plans and achievements
  • Facilitate shift training on safety, operations, quality, standards, and procedures
  • Deliver safety training and hazardous-material handling awareness
  • Implement and deliver on-the-job training programs
  • Conduct and supervise employee training and development programs
  • Maintain training databases, files, forms, orientation packets, and safety packets
  • Ensure safety and training programs meet regulatory, DSV, client, ISO, and 5-Star requirements
  • Manage equipment operator training, certifications, documentation, and records
  • Issue certification and safety cards for new hires and renewals
  • Collaborate with management and operations to meet business needs
  • Conduct or assist with operational investigations and recommend preventive actions
  • Evaluate associate skill levels and arrange retraining
  • Complete and document OSHA training and recordkeeping
  • Lead investigations of accidents and near-misses, determine root causes, and identify preventive actions
  • Maintain accident statistics, analyze trends, and implement remedial actions
  • Implement and monitor Emergency Management System procedures and conduct annual fire evacuation and severe-weather drills
  • Ensure employees are trained to identify workplace hazards
  • Work toward certification on relevant site equipment
  • Work overtime as dictated by business needs and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years’ experience in training and/or warehousing
  • Knowledge of inventory management procedures and warehouse terminology and practices
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Proficient computer knowledge and internet capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • RF Scanners
  • WMS functions
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong confidentiality skills
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Flexible scheduling and ability to change workdays and hours for training purposes
  • Preferred: forklift certification and ability to drive a sit-down electric forklift
  • Preferred: undergraduate degree in business or related field
  • Preferred: experience developing training programs
  • Preferred: 5 years’ experience in training and/or warehousing
