About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee daily facility and maintenance activities supporting safe and uninterrupted warehouse operations
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
  • Conduct facility inspections and building walks to identify maintenance needs, equipment concerns, safety hazards, and improvement opportunities
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, dock equipment, doors, racking, fire/life-safety systems, and other infrastructure
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, batteries, chargers, and related equipment
  • Review work orders, establish priorities, coordinate resources, and monitor work through completion
  • Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and coordinate internal or external repair resources
  • Serve as primary site contact for vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Obtain estimates and coordinate vendor scheduling, access, repairs, inspections, and contracted services
  • Monitor vendor and contractor performance
  • Maintain facility maintenance records, inspection documentation, work orders, service records, and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Use CMMS or maintenance tracking systems to monitor work orders, assets, and repair history
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, replacement parts, tools, and facility materials
  • Assist with maintenance budgets, repair costs, vendor expenses, capital needs, and facility planning
  • Coordinate facility projects, installations, repairs, modifications, and improvements
  • Ensure work complies with safety requirements, company policies, SOPs, OSHA requirements, and regulations
  • Support safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, equipment safety, hazard identification, and inspections
  • Identify unsafe conditions and escalate significant concerns to the General Manager and Safety leadership
  • Partner with Operations to coordinate maintenance around production schedules and business needs
  • Provide direction, training, and oversight to maintenance employees or associates
  • Coordinate work assignments and priorities and ensure timely completion
  • Support training and development related to equipment use, facility procedures, preventive maintenance, and safety
  • Promote a clean, organized, safe, and operationally ready facility
  • Support continuous improvement related to reliability, safety, efficiency, and cost control
  • Respond to urgent facility or equipment issues
  • Communicate facility conditions, repairs, downtime, project status, and risks to site leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, warehouse maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related field
  • Previous experience providing leadership, work direction, or supervision within a maintenance, facilities, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar operational environment
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and facility maintenance programs
  • Experience coordinating repairs, vendors, contractors, or service providers
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and operational conditions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or additional hours as operational needs require
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to use CMMS, work-order systems, or similar maintenance tracking tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, equipment manuals, technical documentation, work orders, and vendor information
  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, mechanical systems, dock equipment, and general building maintenance
  • Knowledge of warehouse material handling equipment and preventive maintenance practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify safety hazards and conditions requiring corrective action
  • Ability to coordinate vendors, contractors, maintenance activities, and facility projects
  • Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate judgment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Operations, Safety, P&O, and site leadership
  • Ability to respond effectively to urgent facility or equipment issues
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel, climb, and access equipment or facility areas
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Associate degree, technical certification, trade school education, or relevant certifications preferred

  • Base pay range of $63,360–$79,200 annually
