About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier booking and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channels
- Coordinate the exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channels
- Prepare and process required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
- Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on shipment status
- Manage customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns or issues
- Collaborate with logistics, finance, operations, and other internal departments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and other relevant regulations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in air and ocean exports is highly desirable
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of air and ocean freight logistics
- Understanding of trade laws and regulations
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred
