About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage third-party truck vendor services and coordinate with internal teams for DSV assets
Schedule carriers and communicate pickup/delivery schedules, locations, specialty equipment needs, loading/strapping requirements, communication expectations, and on-time performance expectations
Communicate professionally with internal and external customers
Use internet, email, and the company satellite phone system for scheduling
Negotiate rates with carriers
Structure and issue rate quotes to clients
Issue client invoices and audit vendor invoices
Track shipments and communicate appropriate information to customers
Investigate and resolve problems
Provide coverage for co-workers when necessary or instructed by management
Audit documentation for completeness and accuracy
Promote the DSV Air & Sea brand
Lead by example, motivate, and support co-workers
Integrate and promote company values in daily actions and interactions
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, WORD & Outlook)
English reading, writing, and verbal skills
Intermediate mathematical skills
Familiarity with export and import processes
Familiarity with D.O.T. regulations and hours of service
Highly developed organizational and people skills
Good communication skills
Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships
Ability to solve problems and provide excellent customer service
Ability to balance multiple duties concurrently and maintain attention to detail
Quality driven and results oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be a team player
Associate degree preferred
Familiarity with intermodal transportation preferred
2–3 years in the logistics or distribution industry is a plus
Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours
Ability to use computer and telephone equipment
