General Manager
DSV - Global Transport and Logistics. Provide strategic and tactical leadership for one or more major contract logistics sites .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic and tactical leadership for one or more major contract logistics sites
- Ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, and maximum efficiency
- Serve as the primary executive contact for key customer accounts at the site level
- Drive continuous engagement, SLA adherence, and customer satisfaction
- Lead the integration of warehouse technologies, including automation, robotics, and advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives across large workforces
- Hold full P&L accountability for assigned facilities
- Manage cost drivers, resource allocation, and revenue optimization to meet or exceed budgetary targets
- Lead and present Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with key clients
- Discuss performance metrics, value-creation initiatives, and commercial alignment
- Champion Continuous Improvement (CIP) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Identify bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and drive productivity gains
- Ensure compliance with Singapore's WSH regulations, MOM standards, and corporate governance protocols
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or an Engineering discipline
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive management experience in the 3PL/Contract Logistics industry
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior site leadership role
- Direct experience managing large headcounts (>100 staff) and highly complex, fast-moving operations
- Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing complex, multi-million-dollar operational budgets and P&Ls
- Deep expertise in modern 3PL operations, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and advanced inventory optimization techniques
- Exceptional stakeholder management and commercial negotiation skills
- Proficiency in enterprise WMS, such as SAP, Blue Yonder, or Manhattan
- Proficiency in data analytics tools, such as Power BI
- Knowledge of Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, Ministry of Manpower (MOM) standards, and corporate governance protocols
