About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory
- Perform inventory investigations or root cause analysis as directed by the supervisor
- Document returned materials from customers
- Ensure inventory is stored in appropriate areas
- Suggest material relocation to maintain inventory ranges and locations
- Work autonomously while reporting progress and issues to supervision or management
- Maintain records and reports for inventory control and security
- Conduct physical inventory and assist with daily/monthly in-house cycle counts
- Support shipping and receiving in locating missing items throughout the facility
- Participate in daily start-up and staff meetings as required
- Use PC skills for email and report generation
- Initiate, document, recommend, and verify solutions for product, process, and quality-system nonconformities
- Review and investigate inbound and outbound functions, including unloading, checking, stacking, storing, order pulling, staging, labeling, and loading
- Notify management when procedures require updates
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and perform housekeeping audits
- Assist leadership as needed
- Participate in cross-training activities and provide backup support across departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
- Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
- Basic computer skills
- RF Scanners
- WMS functions
- Basic MS Office skills, especially MS Excel and Outlook, for reporting and tracking
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
- Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required
- Ability to work mandatory or voluntary overtime as dictated by business
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull 21–50 pounds
- Ability to walk and stand constantly; bend frequently; and reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel
