About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate MHEs to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory
  • Perform computer data entry for receipts, shipments, and inventory maintenance
  • Assist the supervisor/manager in ensuring facility compliance with quality standards
  • Maintain accurate warehouse inventory
  • Interface directly with customers to answer questions and resolve issues
  • Return customer material to the factory
  • Transfer material to the appropriate area
  • Relocate material to maintain inventory ranges and locations
  • Use all equipment safely
  • Work autonomously and report progress and issues to supervisor/management
  • Follow company policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Maintain records and reports for inventory control and security
  • Conduct physical inventory and daily/monthly in-house cycle counts as required
  • Support shipping/receiving in locating missing items
  • Perform safety audits and report/correct unsafe operations
  • Participate in start-up and staff meetings
  • Use PC skills for email and report generation
  • Prevent, identify, record, investigate, and resolve product, process, and quality-system non-conformities
  • Review inbound/outbound issues including unloading, checking, stacking, storing, order pulling, staging, labeling, and loading
  • Ship material to the factory upon client inventory requests and notify management when procedures require updates
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and perform housekeeping audits
  • Participate in cross-training activities and assist as a backup associate
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
  • Able to operate MHE
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Basic computer skills
  • RF Scanners
  • WMS functions
  • English (reading, writing, verbal)
  • Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products
  • Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job task in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pace work environment
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs while following proper lifting procedures
  • Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in an inventory department (preferred)
  • 1-3 years forklift experience (preferred)
  • Current or prior MHE certification (preferred)
