About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate MHEs to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials
  • Enter computer data for receipts, shipments, and inventory maintenance
  • Maintain accurate warehouse inventory
  • Answer customer questions and resolve issues
  • Return customer material to the factory
  • Transfer and relocate material to appropriate areas
  • Report progress and issues to supervisors or management
  • Maintain inventory control and security records and reports
  • Conduct physical inventory and daily/monthly in-house cycle counts
  • Support shipping and receiving in locating missing items
  • Perform safety audits and correct unsafe operations
  • Participate in start-up and staff meetings
  • Use PCs for email and report generation
  • Prevent, identify, record, and resolve product, process, and quality-system non-conformities
  • Investigate inbound and outbound issues including unloading, checking, stacking, storing, order pulling, staging, labeling, and loading
  • Ship material to the factory upon client inventory requests
  • Notify management when procedures require updates
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
  • Assist leadership and supervision as needed
  • Participate in cross-training activities and provide backup support across departments
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
  • Able to operate MHEs
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
  • Basic computer skills
  • RF scanner skills
  • WMS functions
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work mandatory or voluntary overtime
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds
  • Current or prior MHE certification preferred
  • 1–3 years’ inventory department experience preferred
  • 1–3 years forklift experience preferred
