About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain perpetual record integrity and inventory accuracy through cycle count administration
  • Analyze and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and perpetual records
  • Monitor space utilization and layout plans
  • Implement and maintain product locator systems
  • Delegate work and oversee inventory associates and other department staff
  • Audit daily error reports and correct issues
  • Analyze WMS reports and publish monthly cycle-count variance data
  • Validate stock change-in/out transactions against product structures
  • Analyze miscellaneous receipts and issues and take corrective action
  • Serve as distribution leader for physical inventory
  • Research inventory issues using the online Inventory Audit Trail
  • Prepare monthly reports on major problems and project updates
  • Assist with associate relations, training, and development
  • Audit warehouse compliance with safety, security, and quality standards
  • Communicate with DSV representatives and clients; prepare corrective actions, reports, counseling memos, and evaluations
  • Conduct daily startup meetings and coordinate operations with management
  • Provide labor and equipment information to meet customer demands
  • Develop team leaders and ensure associate expectations are met
  • Assist management and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
  • Able to operate MHE
  • Basic computer skills and MS Office Applications
  • RF Scanners
  • WMS Functions
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Satisfactory completion of forklift training program
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
  • Ability to develop work instructions, procedures, and visual aids
  • Ability to work extra hours as dictated by business needs
  • Training and/or certification in inventory management methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma and Lean
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 21–50 pounds
  • Must wear PPE when necessary and follow safety standards
