About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process and coordinate daily air freight shipments
- Book the best route, flight and schedule for each shipment
- Manage the transport process from A to Z
- Maintain contact with customers, airlines, airports and DSV locations worldwide
- Check and process transport and customs documentation
- Ensure shipments meet applicable requirements
- Monitor shipments and proactively update customers
- Find solutions to delays and other operational issues
- Organise international shipments for high-tech customers
- Learn the air freight business through six months of on-the-job training
- Collaborate with colleagues in the export department and receive guidance from experienced team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- MBO level of working and thinking
- Experience in logistics, customer service or another dynamic working environment is an advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Dutch is an advantage
- Affinity with systems and administrative processes
- Accurate, service-oriented and proactive approach
- Eagerness to learn
- Strong teamwork skills
- Attention to detail
- Interest in planning
- Availability for 40 hours per week
- Own transport to reach the location in Hapert
- Ability to apply for a VGB security clearance
