About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand the customer’s business and customer requirements.
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with clients.
- Understand contractual SLAs and KPIs.
- Adhere to HSE compliance and responsibilities.
- Perform audit compliance and ad hoc duties required by operations.
- Manage queries and escalations.
- Complete daily system checks to ensure orders are planned and executed according to customer KPIs.
- Monitor load plans and execution to identify risks and deviations, ensuring timely communication and action for picking, loading, and delivery slots.
- Review and analyse load plan performance to improve operations and transport SLAs.
- Monitor and report warehouse and transport SLAs.
- Measure and report on-time delivery and turnaround time.
- Update bookings and re-bookings in relevant systems.
- Support change initiatives.
- Participate in job rotation among team members.
- Review data to identify improvement areas and improve operational output, load plans, and team deliverables.
- Process accurate booking and re-booking requests.
- Consolidate orders.
- Monitor and plan reverse logistics, including back-door returns and upliftments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Matric.
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering is an advantage.
- Experience in planning, warehouse, and transport industry.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of WMS and TMS software/apps.
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for data management and reporting.
- Experience in expediting, planning, scheduling, and balancing workload.
- Experience in a warehousing environment.
- Understanding of work balancing and capacity planning between multiple departments.
- Skills in expediting, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and monitoring.
- Ability to meet and manage customer expectations and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, work instructions, and workloads.
- Good interpersonal skills for client account management.
- Very good analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think logically.
- Ability to lead and manage a team.
- Comfortable presenting and communicating to all levels of management.
- Warehouse experience and understanding.
- Experience in automotive and retail environments is an elective.
