About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the safe and efficient condition of the facility and equipment
- Train and develop a team of facilities specialists
- Perform or manage general maintenance and simple repairs involving plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical, electrical, and custodial work
- Execute and maintain preventative maintenance systems for the building and equipment
- Perform routine and long-term preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with site management on inspections of material handling equipment, heating and cooling systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and plumbing
- Inspect, maintain, and repair the building and equipment
- Ensure daily operation of building and material handling equipment
- Maintain equipment and report building or equipment problems
- Identify, report, and correct safety hazards
- Maintain a safe work site during repairs and maintenance
- Identify problem sources and recommend resolutions
- Inspect, diagnose, and make emergency repairs to facility equipment and furnishings
- Determine work assignment and repair methods and priorities
- Operate material handling equipment and common hand or power tools safely
- Perform or assist with grounds maintenance
- Maintain warehouse and work-area organization and cleanliness
- Comply with SOPs, corporate and site policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards
- Perform other assigned job-related duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of general facilities, systems maintenance, and repair work experience and/or other training; equivalent combination of education and/or experience considered
- Intermediate computer skills
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Intermediate math skills
- Professional reading and writing skills
- Ability to troubleshoot general maintenance and service problems
- Ability to read and follow manufacturer instruction manuals
- Ability to identify problems or potential problems and take initiative to correct them
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently or within a group
- Leadership skills to coach and develop others
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work a flexible and on-call schedule as dictated by business needs
- Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds; reach, squat, or kneel
- Must maintain an active forklift certification
- Maintenance certifications or degree preferred
- Working knowledge of facilities and systems maintenance and repair methods, practices, and tools, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems preferred
- Prior or current experience using material handling equipment preferred

Comp & perks- Base pay range of $75,000.00–$85,000.00 per year
