About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Actively acquire and recruit new transport partners
  • Systematically build and expand a high-performing subcontractor network for dedicated national truck operations
  • Independently manage defined regions through in-person visits to transport companies and a strong market presence
  • Build sustainable relationships with managing directors, dispatchers, and fleet managers
  • Identify and develop transport capacity
  • Market long-term dedicated assignment opportunities to suitable transport partners
  • Negotiate commercial terms and framework agreements
  • Manage the entire acquisition process, from initial contact through onboarding
  • Further develop existing transport partner relationships
  • Maintain a structured acquisition pipeline and document all activities
  • Monitor market and competitor developments
  • Work closely with Operations, Carrier Management, and local branches

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of experience in road freight, freight forwarding, or the transport sector
  • In-depth knowledge of the carrier and subcontractor market
  • Experience in acquisition, sales, procurement, Carrier Management, or managing relationships with transport companies
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Sound commercial understanding of transport and cost structures
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Enjoyment of cold calling and networking
  • Confident and convincing manner
  • Willingness to travel regularly for on-site appointments and acquisition tours
