About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and maintain inventory control operations, development, improvements, implementations, accuracy, and records
  • Monitor inventory levels, product movement, non-conforming product mix, and warehouse quality
  • Support quality activities for receiving, shipping, and related functions
  • Track, investigate, and correct over, short, and damage issues
  • Oversee inventory and quality associates and other staff
  • Promote safety initiatives and workplace safety standards
  • Oversee cycle counts and random audits in compliance with network methodologies and SOX requirements
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, quality metrics, and product integrity
  • Evaluate customer complaints and defect trends and implement corrective action plans
  • Investigate inventory variances and determine root causes
  • Lead fulfillment network quality and operational excellence initiatives across multiple sites
  • Support workforce planning, forecasting, and task/resource allocation
  • Manage and mentor Inventory Supervisors and hourly associates
  • Guide ICQA leadership activities, monitor performance, and drive accountability
  • Champion continuous improvement, team capability development, employee engagement, and retention
  • Maintain understanding and consistent execution of fulfillment center workflows, exceptions, and standards
  • Review KPIs and conduct audits and analyses affecting inventory accuracy
  • Partner with department leaders on projects, operational initiatives, and system improvements
  • Collaborate with Loss Prevention on security policies and procedures
  • Work with Operations Managers, Senior Operations Managers, and General Managers on communication and process compliance
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of management team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Preferred 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in a management capacity
  • 2 years’ experience as an Inventory Manager
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
  • Strong computer skills and MS Office Applications
  • Experience with RF scanners, WMS functions, and Microsoft Excel
  • Quality-related certifications preferred
  • Satisfactory completion of forklift training program
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Intermediate-level mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
  • Effective communication, supervisory, people, planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop work instructions, procedures, and visual aids
  • Ability to work extra hours as dictated by business needs
  • Training and/or certification in inventory management methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma and Lean
  • Ability to teach, coach, mentor, and support project team members
  • Ability to foster continuous improvement
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds
  • Ability to wear PPE and follow safety standards
