About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities
- Manage labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment, and manpower
- Hire and train staff; plan and assign daily work
- Conduct performance appraisals, address performance issues, and resolve problems
- Supervise receiving, warehousing, and shipping in line with service and cost objectives
- Conduct staff meetings and support continuous improvement
- Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical operational issues
- Develop systems and procedures for safe and profitable operations
- Manage productivity, service goals, client operating agreement requirements, and quality system requirements
- Implement and report cost-saving measures
- Supervise, counsel, motivate, and discipline team members as needed
- Support Human Resources and assist with hiring, training, professional development, promotions, wage increases, and other HR activities
- Train and evaluate warehouse staff
- Plan daily work schedules using work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions
- Assign duties and supervisory responsibilities to warehouse staff and team leads
- Review pending jobs and trends; plan warehouse-space reorganizations and staffing, supply, and equipment changes
- Monitor work quality and quantity, provide guidance, and keep the Manager informed of progress or problems
- Assist in physical operations as needed
- Provide team growth and development opportunities
- Provide input and conduct annual performance reviews
- Support and train team members on corporate and client SOPs
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
- 1 year experience in a supervisory role
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and Power Point)
- Experience with RF Scanners
- Knowledge of WMS functions
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Business communication
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying product quantities, counting inventory, and related warehouse duties
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and personnel skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good leadership, supervision, and planning skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required
- Ability to participate in cross-training activities
- Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work mandatory or voluntary overtime as dictated by business needs
- Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
- Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation preferred

Comp & perks- Base pay range of $66,528–$75,200 per year
