About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and measure all operations within a warehouse facility
- Develop, implement, and measure standard operating processes within the facility
- Develop daily schedules from customer business schedules and measure performance against schedules
- Oversee warehouse safety programs and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Establish and maintain warehouse operational infrastructure
- Price all new business associated with the facility
- Develop and maintain ISO-level operating guidelines and metrics for internal and external customers
- Develop and monitor productivity standards
- Develop and maintain efficient, cost-effective operations layouts
- Establish and maintain daily operating schedules
- Coordinate daily cycle counts
- Hold P&L responsibility for the operation
- Develop and maintain an internal training center
- Present facility operations to prospective customers
- Ensure a safe working environment and employee compliance with PPE and proper precautions
- Provide customer service to prevent and resolve errors
- Select and place staff, provide job training, define assignments, and manage performance against productivity and organizational objectives
- Provide supervision, assign tasks, advise units or sub-units, and interact with employees, customers, and management-level peers
- Conduct presentations of technical information concerning projects and schedules
- Administer company policies affecting subordinate employees and recommend policy changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required
- Generally preferred: 3–7 years of related supervisory or management experience
- Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests
- Must be capable of performing all essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation
