About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and evaluate potential transportation and logistics service providers
- Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions with suppliers
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as necessary
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop procurement strategies
- Manage procurement data and maintain accurate records
- Provide reports and analysis to management as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics procurement, preferably in a global organization
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Proficient in procurement software and tools
- Knowledge of ERP systems and data analytics tools is a plus
