About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a liaison between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners, and the DB Schenker BTS fulfillment site
- Ensure demand-planning commitments remain within agreed product lead times
- Resolve delays in providing needed material within agreed timelines
- Manage lead times for customer purchase orders and report on agreed lead times
- Expedite purchase orders as needed
- Ensure the recommit process is followed
- Review backlog reports and coordinate escalations with suppliers
- Review recommits and rejected expedited requests
- Review supplier build and shipping plans to ensure commitments are met based on purchase-order commit dates
- Identify, document, and report potential on-time shipment issues weekly
- Manually schedule orders outside the product’s scheduled lead time and identify the reasons
- Monitor purchase-order lead times, ensure shipments occur within lead time, report on commitment attainment, and manage corrective actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- High school diploma program or equivalent required
- Generally 2–4 years of related experience preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to pass required federal/state/local government, airport, or company background checks and clearances
- Ability to pass required drug and alcohol tests
- Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Intermediate-level position requiring judgment and analysis of complex problems
