About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build rapport and trust with clients by delivering exceptional service
  • Process and input customer orders
  • Run and print shipments from WMS
  • Run stock reports to check product availability
  • Generate paperwork and information required for customer work orders
  • Check orders for special requests
  • Expedite and trace orders and notify customers about merchandise activity
  • Follow up with departments to ensure service standards are met
  • Verify customers and assure proper invoicing of accounts
  • Handle returned merchandise and ensure proper customer credit
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoicing, shipments, and inventory management
  • Act as liaison between the warehouse, office, and customers regarding accounts, invoicing, and credit changes
  • Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents
  • Gather and maintain shipping and receiving data and records
  • Reconcile receiving and shipping counts with packing lists, purchase orders, and picking documents
  • Prepare reports as required by supervisors
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Enter and verify data regarding orders, shipments, receipts, inventories, and adjustments
  • Oversee order paperwork and maintain files
  • Answer phone calls and operate office machines and computers
  • Greet customers and visitors
  • Correspond with customers as required
  • Route incoming calls and assist callers with general information
  • Direct visitors and assist drivers at the check-in window
  • Cross-train in other administrative functions
  • Work overtime as dictated by business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year experience in Customer Service-related capacity
  • Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications
  • WMS functions
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Business writing proficiency
  • Intermediate mathematical skills to verify product quantities and count inventory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be able to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds
  • Ability to reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel
  • Ability to walk and stand constantly, bend frequently, and handle/finger or sit occasionally
