About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate safety and quality functions and assist the Supervisor
- Audit shipments, work areas, processes, and other assigned functions
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality policies and principles
- Maintain the Document Control Center and Quality System data and records
- Support documentation and follow-up for Internal Audits, QMS/QIS, and corrective actions
- Update visual aids, process instructions, quality procedures, corrective and preventive actions, and client documentation
- Generate and update control charts and Quality QOS
- Review and validate controlled documentation used throughout the plant against QIS
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects
- Work with the Supervisor to improve employee performance and service provided to other departments
- Perform plant tours to identify quality non-compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation or area
- Send Weekly Triggers files to suppliers on time
- Follow up on aged material and notify customers for disposition
- Manage excess and slow-moving inventory and seek disposition
- Maintain vendor, contact, and part profile information
- Improve operational communication with suppliers and customers
- Prepare paperwork and backup data for return shipments
- Ensure customer responses meet customer service objectives
- Prepare reports and monitor compliance
- Coordinate cycle counts for Sync Report Analysis
- Participate in customer/internal corrective action and improvement plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to handle basic statistical control methods
- Previous inventory experience
- Current or previous experience with a Quality Management System
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Windows, or Visio
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a stimulating, fast-paced environment
- Experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment preferred
- Previous experience with Internal Audits, Document Control, and Corrective Action plans preferred
