About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate safety and quality functions and assist the Supervisor
  • Audit shipments, work areas, processes, and other assigned functions
  • Maintain the Document Control Center and Quality System data and records
  • Support documentation and follow-up for Internal Audits, QMS/QIS, and Corrective Actions
  • Update visual aids, process instructions, quality procedures, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Generate and update control charts and Quality QOS
  • Review and validate controlled documentation used throughout the plant against QIS
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects
  • Develop employee performance and service improvements with the Supervisor
  • Conduct plant tours to identify quality non-compliance
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation or area
  • Send Weekly Triggers files to suppliers on time
  • Follow up on aged material, excess/slow-moving inventory, and disposition processes
  • Maintain vendor, contact, parts, and profile information in systems
  • Improve operational communication with suppliers and customers
  • Prepare paperwork and backup data for return shipments
  • Ensure customer responses meet customer service objectives
  • Prepare reports and monitor compliance
  • Coordinate cycle counts for Sync Report Analysis
  • Participate in Customer/Internal Corrective Action and Improvement Plans
  • Support other areas as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to handle basic statistical control methods
  • Previous inventory experience
  • Current or previous experience with a Quality Management System
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Windows, or Visio
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
  • Experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment (preferred)
  • Previous experience with Internal Audits, Document Control, and Corrective Action plans (preferred)
