About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures for transportation and logistics operations
Monitor compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits
Develop and implement corrective actions to address non-conformances
Review and approve quality-related documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions
Analyze data and implement improvements to processes and procedures
Train employees on quality assurance procedures and standards
Communicate with customers and regulatory agencies as necessary to ensure compliance
Develop and manage quality metrics and key performance indicators
May supervise a team of quality assurance professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, logistics, engineering, or quality management is typically required
5–7 years of experience in quality assurance in the transportation and logistics industry
Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to transportation and logistics
Fluent in English, oral and written
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Experience with quality management software or other relevant tools
Experience managing audits and implementing corrective actions preferred
Professional certification in quality assurance, such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), preferred
Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems preferred
Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies preferred
