About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
- Manage shipping documents and records
- Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, including part numbers, quantities and material condition
- Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts at the datacenter
- Process return shipments of electronic components using multiple warehouse management systems
- Oversee and perform placement of server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices
- Oversee and perform population of electronic components and cabling installation into server racks using diagrams and schematics
- Install rack hardware using hand, power and measuring tools
- Operate material handling equipment
- Perform and oversee cleanup activities to ensure safety, cleanliness and adherence to 5S standards
- Delegate and coach team members
- Interact with customers and stakeholders on site at the datacenter
- Make confident decisions based on information and data to meet production goals accurately and efficiently
- Cross-train in multiple departments within the datacenter
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of related experience
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Critical thinking abilities and strong analytical skills
- Experience with computers
- Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols
- Ability to work with live electrical and electronic equipment and components
- Ability to push, pull and lift frequently throughout the workday
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks
- Ability to use laser measuring devices, hand tools, power tools and measuring tools
- Ability to follow diagrams and schematics
