About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support projects implementing new and existing business, site consolidations and relocations, and automation solutions
Create, validate, and use tools and standards for the department and DSV organization
Validate customer requirements, create overall solutions, and implement assigned solution tasks
Provide Project Managers with estimated time, status, escalations, and scope changes
Collect and collate customer requirements for warehouse relocations and new real estate projects
Lead the design, development, and implementation of warehouse and distribution center solutions
Analyze and optimize inbound, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and value-added service workflows
Define facility, process, and equipment requirements and gain stakeholder alignment
Support warehouse technologies, WMS, and related operational platforms
Develop implementation plans, schedules, and task lists
Identify, evaluate, and procure capital equipment and required assets
Manage vendor, supplier, contractor, and customer relationships
Support automation and material handling solution integration
Ensure compliance with customer, safety, regulatory, and industry requirements
Coordinate multiple projects, identify risks, resolve issues, and drive outcomes
Develop project updates, business cases, presentations, and recommendations
Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, construction, and external partners
Monitor industry trends and emerging supply chain technologies
Support site assessments, commissioning, testing, operational launches, and travel
Perform operational improvement, network expansion, new business implementation, and continuous improvement projects
Manage vendors completing project work and potentially support peer onboarding

Requirements

What you’ll need

Four-year degree is basic requirement (Industrial Engineering preferred)
Minimum of 6 years in the Logistics/Supply Chain Industry
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in warehousing solution implementation and design
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Vizio, and use of Teams / SharePoint
AutoCAD LT
Knowledge of WMS functional processes
English (reading, writing, verbal)
Strong writing skills with experience documenting design methodologies to create logistics solutions and responses to RFPs
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. while following proper lifting procedures
Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day
Spanish is a plus
Knowledge of LMS, TMS, YMS is a plus
Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients is preferred
Experience in 3PL environment is preferred
Six Sigma / Lean Certifications are a plus
Experience with warehouse automation applications is preferred
