About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish governance and enable profitable growth through pricing strategies and market intelligence
- Develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with company goals, market conditions, and customer expectations
- Balance pricing decisions with targets, including volume discounts and negotiations
- Analyze cost structures for Air, LCL, FCL, and Courier services
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and cost structures to determine competitive and profitable pricing strategies
- Manage sell rate adjustments to maximize revenue and maintain competitiveness
- Identify process improvements related to rate maintenance and pricing strategies
- Prepare and deliver pricing proposals to potential customers, sales teams, and existing clients
- Collaborate with account managers and customer service teams to address concerns and negotiate rate changes
- Monitor industry trends, market fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting pricing decisions
- Lead, mentor, and manage the rate management team
- Manage outputs and drive KPIs for the function
- Create and develop an enjoyable working environment promoting free thinking, hard work, and milestone delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or supply chain management is required
- 10+ years of experience in International Transport and Logistics is required
- 7+ years of progressive experience in International Transport and Logistics pricing or procurement is required
- 5+ years in an Operational Leadership Role in International Transport and Logistics is preferred
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using and optimizing transportation management software and digital tools
- In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, regulations, and industry best practices
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with transportation management software
