About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the transportation and logistics department's daily operations
Coordinate with sales, customer service, and other internal departments
Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies
Improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability
Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and other external partners
Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions
Conduct regular audits for compliance with company policies and regulations
Provide reports on transportation and logistics activities to management
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management
Experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations and compliance
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
Bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
Certification such as Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) is preferred
Experience with transportation management software (TMS) is preferred
