About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure commitments from demand planning groups are within agreed product lead times
- Resolve delays in providing needed material within agreed timelines
- Manage and report lead times for customer purchase orders
- Expedite purchase orders as needed
- Ensure the recommit process is followed
- Review backlog reports and coordinate supplier escalations
- Review supplier build and ship plans against purchase order commit dates
- Identify, document, and report potential on-time shipment issues weekly
- Manually schedule orders outside product lead times and identify causes
- Monitor purchase order shipments and lead-time commitment attainment
- Correct issues when lead-time commitments are not obtained
- Interact regularly with peers, management, and senior management on complex matters
- Provide guidance to lower-level personnel as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- High school diploma program or equivalent required
- Generally prefer 2–4 years of related experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills
- Must be able to pass required federal/state/local government, airport, or company background checks and clearances
- Must be able to pass required drug and alcohol tests
- Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
