About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide professional and operational leadership for the CoDi local transport pickup team, including managing and developing employees
Manage the local transport fleet (general cargo and swap bodies) and coordinate external carriers
Ensure efficient and smooth processes within local transport operations
Work strategically and operationally with contracted carriers, including negotiating agreements
Serve as the point of contact for internal departments and manage interfaces across the freight forwarding organization
Procure special-purpose vehicles, negotiate prices, and optimize costs
Monitor service quality, particularly for premium services
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of billing
Help shape and manage seasonal and capacity planning
Implement new customers, including process development and optimization
Analyze KPIs and derive and implement optimization measures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed vocational training as a Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in dispatching/local transport operations
Initial leadership experience is preferred, or willingness to take the next career step toward team leadership
Solid experience working with subcontractors
Strong leadership, communication, and assertiveness skills
Excellent organizational skills, a high sense of responsibility, and an entrepreneurial mindset
Proficiency in MS Office
Experience with dispatching systems is preferred
Very good written and spoken German
