About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare, distribute, reprint, track, and document labels for carton/pallet pickers
  • Coordinate outbound pulls and plugs with yard drivers using the Y/WMS system
  • Assist with trailer safety checks before movement or loading
  • Complete computer data entry for shipments
  • Issue seals to loaders
  • Verify shipment, seal, trailer, and store information for Bills of Lading
  • Schedule LTL carrier pickups where applicable
  • Print work assignments for replenishment drivers
  • File outbound paperwork
  • Assist supervisors with compiling and tracking downtime sheets
  • Communicate operational issues to outbound supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure work area
  • Secure seals and sensitive documents
  • Distribute and collect tools and equipment, including RF guns and bolt cutters
  • Follow OSHA, MSDS, company, and ISO procedures
  • Safely use powered equipment, RF scanners, computers, and printers
  • Perform other operational duties as assigned
  • Work overtime when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years’ experience working in inventory control or warehousing administration
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Experience with RF scanners
  • Proficient MS Office applications
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull 11–20 pounds
  • Ability to work overtime as required by the business
  • Preferred: 1–2 years’ experience in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment
  • Preferred: 1–2 years’ experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
