About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyse and evaluate complex logistics tenders based on quantitative and qualitative customer requirements and site options
Develop high-quality, professional, and innovative logistics concepts in line with customer requirements
Evaluate volume and structural data
Plan processes and material flows in conjunction with the relevant IT requirements
Determine staffing requirements
Design material handling equipment (MHE) and select the optimal technology
Plan space utilization and develop layouts
Plan the operating organization
Prepare robust and competitive calculations using the appropriate tools
Calculate costs and develop pricing for proposals as a basis for management decisions
Present proposals and planning results to management and customers
Proactively contribute to strategic projects
Analyse customer and market requirements to continuously develop industry solutions for contract logistics
Participate in working groups within the contract logistics network
Participate in projects testing innovative technologies
Provide technical leadership to project teams
Progress toward technical team leadership responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

University or university of applied sciences degree, preferably in business administration, economics, and/or logistics
At least five years of professional experience in logistics planning or logistics project management
Experience planning processes and implementing logistics processes
Experience with MTM (Methods-Time Measurement) and AutoCAD is desirable
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Very good written and spoken English
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with an affinity for numbers
Confident manner, with strong presentation and persuasion skills
Strong customer focus, teamwork skills, flexibility, and commitment
Enjoyment of independent work
Motivation and openness to new ideas
