About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and control inbound, outbound and inventory operations
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day warehousing operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory and VAS activities
  • Ensure HSE compliance and responsibilities
  • Create and maintain reports aligned with KPIs and contractual obligations
  • Control, action, investigate and complete CAPA documents
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Report daily to management
  • Monitor and report staff attendance
  • Perform duties in other departments as operationally required
  • Oversee special projects
  • Oversee inventory-related activities

  • Ensure disciplinary action is taken for poor behaviour

  • Conduct hourly floor walks to monitor health and safety and staff compliance

  • Keep the manager informed of progress or problems and hold regular warehouse staff meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Grade 12
  • 3-year Logistics, SC or relevant qualification plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience, or a minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience with all job-related requirements and Level 4 ABET
  • Cargowrite experience; minimum of 2 years’ Cargowrite knowledge is an added advantage
  • 3 years’ experience and at least intermediate skill level working on a warehouse management system
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint for data management, reporting and communication with clients and suppliers
  • 3 months’ experience dealing with home appliances
  • Knowledge of WMS systems
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience in stock control
  • Knowledge of inbound and return processes and workflows
  • Experience investigating and troubleshooting stock discrepancies
  • Planning, organising, leading, controlling and monitoring skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the company
  • Strong attention to detail and high-quality work
  • Ability to meet and manage internal and personal KPIs and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, work instructions and workloads
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of inventory management principles
  • Ability to work extended or after-hours when required
  • Intermediate knowledge of Industrial Relations and processes
