About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain perpetual record integrity and inventory accuracy through administration of the cycle count program
- Analyze and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and perpetual records
- Audit daily error reports and make corrections
- Analyze and publish monthly and year-to-date cycle count dollar variance data from WMS reports
- Validate stock change-in/out transactions against product structure
- Analyze miscellaneous receipts and issues and take corrective action
- Serve as distribution leader for physical inventory
- Research inventory issues using the online Inventory Audit Trail
- Implement and monitor space utilization and layout plans
- Implement and update the product locator system
- Delegate work and responsibility to subordinates
- Oversee scheduled shifts and evaluate inventory staff and subordinates
- Prepare monthly reports on major problems and project or assignment updates
- Supervise inventory leads, associates, and CSRs
- Ensure associate training and development regarding product placement and equipment usage
- Audit the warehouse for safety, security, and quality compliance
- Conduct daily startup meetings and coordinate operations with management
- Communicate operational issues and provide management with labor and equipment needs
- Develop team leaders and ensure associate expectations are met
- Prepare emails, corrective/preventive actions, operations reports, attendance reports, counseling memos, and evaluations
- Perform other assigned duties and assist management as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE)
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with RF scanners, WMS functions, and Microsoft Excel
- Satisfactory completion of forklift training program
- Quality-related certifications preferred
- English reading, writing, and verbal skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
- Effective communication, supervisory, people, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop work instructions, procedures, and visual aids
- Ability to work extra hours and flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
- Training or certification in inventory management methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma and Lean
- Ability to teach, coach, mentor, and support project team members
- Analytical and results-oriented
- Ability to foster continuous improvement
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, and stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 21–50 pounds
- Ability to wear PPE and follow safety standards
