About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee a team of hourly associates and team leads responsible for Inventory Control activities
  • Coordinate workforce planning and daily staffing assignments
  • Monitor key performance indicators and evaluate data to identify process trends contributing to defects or performance gaps
  • Review daily cycle count results and reconcile variances between physical inventory and system records
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and ensure timely resolution
  • Audit daily inventory exception and error reports, implementing corrections and follow-up actions
  • Analyze and communicate monthly inventory variance data from WMS reporting, including monthly and year-to-date cycle count performance metrics
  • Evaluate stock adjustment transactions for alignment with product structures and inventory control standards
  • Review miscellaneous inventory receipts and issues and take corrective actions
  • Support transit reporting, shipping adjustments, and other operational tasks
  • Assist with associate engagement, employee relations, onboarding, and training initiatives
  • Conduct warehouse audits for safety, security, and quality compliance
  • Prepare correspondence, corrective and preventive action documentation, operational reports, attendance follow-ups, coaching documentation, and employee evaluations
  • Facilitate daily startup meetings
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment through communication, coaching, and motivation
  • Partner with leadership to identify labor and equipment requirements, develop team leads, and ensure associates meet performance expectations
  • Perform other duties as required and assist management as needed
  • Work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, and participate in cross-training activities
  • Responsible for inventory leads, associates, and CSR within the department
  • Ensure training and development for associates’ product placement and equipment usage

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • 3 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
  • Able to operate MHE
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Basic computer skills
  • RF Scanners
  • WMS functions
  • English (reading, writing, verbal)
  • Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products
  • Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job task in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pace work environment
  • Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months that can range from mild to moderate
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs while following proper lifting procedures
  • Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in an inventory department preferred
  • 1-3 years in a progressive leadership role preferred
  • Current or prior MHE certification preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
