About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coordinate new-hire orientation and operational training programs
- Develop and maintain a structured site training plan
- Coordinate training schedules for new hires, transfers, promotions, cross-training, process changes, and refresher training
- Ensure employees receive job-specific training before independently performing assigned duties
- Oversee on-the-job training across shifts, departments, and trainers
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to trainers, subject matter experts, and employees conducting training
- Coordinate or conduct MHE training, certification, and recertification
- Maintain training records, certification records, attendance documentation, qualification records, skills matrices, and training documentation
- Monitor certification expirations and coordinate recertification
- Identify training needs and coordinate remedial or refresher training
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to content or delivery methods
- Maintain current training materials, Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, and visual aids
- Coordinate training for new processes, systems, equipment, customer requirements, and operational changes
- Support site startup, expansion, peak periods, and other operational initiatives with training plans
- Partner with Safety on safe work practices and required safety-related training
- Partner with P&O and Operations on onboarding and employee development
- Identify cross-training opportunities and support leadership development initiatives
- Track and report training metrics, completion rates, outstanding requirements, certification status, and training KPIs
- Participate in audits and provide required training documentation
- Monitor compliance with training processes and escalate gaps or risks
- Promote continuous learning, safety, accountability, quality, and operational excellence
- Provide leadership and oversight for site training activities and may directly supervise assigned trainers
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience conducting, coordinating, or supporting employee training, onboarding, or operational development
- Experience with warehouse processes, Standard Operating Procedures, safety requirements, and operational training
- Ability to work flexible hours and support multiple shifts
- Ability to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures
- Ability to work overtime as dictated by business needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to utilize learning management systems, training databases, HRIS platforms, or other systems used to track employee training and qualifications
- Effective verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and instructional skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
- Ability to coordinate training across multiple departments and shifts
- Ability to evaluate employee understanding and identify skill and knowledge gaps
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, material handling equipment, and safety requirements
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with employee information and training records
- Must obtain and maintain required DSV MHE certification(s), as applicable to the site
- Must complete any required Train-the-Trainer or instructor certification within the timeframe established by DSV
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and safely demonstrate applicable operational tasks and MHE procedures

Comp & perks- Base pay range of $63,360.00–$79,200.00 annually
