About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and oversee assigned daily operational activities
- Oversee associates dedicated to warehousing, receiving, and shipping
- Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities and Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist with forklift operation and certification
- Coordinate unloading inbound shipments, stacking products, and picking and staging outbound shipments
- Verify inbound and outbound paperwork and product counts
- Load orders according to appropriate doors and trailers
- Research shipping and receiving discrepancies
- Communicate with customers by phone, electronically, or in person
- Prepare activity reports for site management
- Perform quality control, including documentation, picking verification, damage and discrepancy reporting, packaging, shrink wrapping, and labeling
- Report inconsistencies and problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager
- Participate in quality, department, and safety meetings
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, security, and orderly work areas
- Direct the warehouse work team to achieve objectives
- Assist with productivity sheets, production and payroll-hour tracking, workforce levels, and work schedules
- Ensure schedules and job assignments are implemented effectively
- Initiate, record, and escalate non-conformities and recommend solutions
Requirements

- Knowledge of relevant ISO standards impacting the position, department, and company
- Execute all safety protocols
