About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and support warehouse associates in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control
  • Assign and monitor work for productivity, accuracy, safety, and quality compliance
  • Load orders according to appropriate doors and trailers
  • Research shipping and receiving discrepancies
  • Train new and existing associates on standard operating procedures
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and feedback
  • Assist with problem-solving and escalate operational issues to the Supervisor or Manager
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and PPE and adherence to safety policies
  • Perform quality and inventory checks to minimize errors and damages
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain communication between shifts and departments for smooth handoffs and workflow
  • Serve as the first point of contact for team members and assist the Supervisor or Manager with workflow, productivity, and compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
  • 2-3 years forklift experience
  • Current or prior MHE certification
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Fluent in English, oral and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear
  • Close vision and distance vision
