About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle inbound, storage, and outbound processes of goods for clients, including value-added activities
- Implement new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Ensure execution and optimization of logistics processes within warehouses
- Ensure production standards, deadlines, quality requirements, procedures, and regulations are met
- Manage an average of 1 to 3 senior warehouse team leaders
- Indirectly oversee 5 to 45 warehouse employees
- Direct, coach, and support the team
- Coordinate departmental logistics activities with other internal departments
- Provide management information based on pre-agreed targets and KPIs
- Monitor operational performance for quality and quantity
- Emphasize quality and security requirements and take corrective action when necessary
- Initiate and embed continuous improvement in operational processes
- Contribute to the future development of DSV
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a logistics or production environment
- Passion for logistics and ability to inspire others
- Strong English communication skills
- Dutch is a plus
- Results-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational skills
- Confidence to stand by your opinions
- Ability to persevere, show guts, and grow with DSV
