About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise warehousing operations and administration within the assigned area
  • Manage Logistics Coordinators, Warehouse Operators and Material Handlers
  • Direct and implement day-to-day facility operations and administration
  • Ensure warehouse functions follow company procedures, objectives and client expectations
  • Ensure staff receive sufficient training to achieve company goals
  • Supervise inbound and outbound warehouse process flows
  • Hold associates accountable to company and client expectations
  • Train employees to achieve proficiency in the Warehouse Management System
  • Ensure employees meet KPI expectations and goals
  • Conduct daily team briefings at the start and close of business
  • Schedule labour according to operational requirements while reducing overtime and temporary labour
  • Meet client requests and expectations promptly and according to contract requirements
  • Verify warehousing paperwork and documentation, transaction accuracy and data integrity
  • Maintain updated information and visual aids in work areas
  • Ensure material handling equipment is maintained, checked, documented and used safely
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies
  • Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, 5S and a clean, safe, secure work area
  • Work with the management team, Team Lead, Inventory Controller and Warehouse Operator

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4-year college degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Logistics
  • Minimum 3 years 3PL supervisory experience
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
  • Strong proficiency of MS Office (Outlook and Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, task prioritizing, and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workflow priorities
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented environment with a high degree of flexibility
  • Understanding and experience of Accident Investigation Analysis and Follow up
