About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide legal assessments of complex business models and projects in the payments sector.
- Advise colleagues on optimal contract structures.
- Provide legal support for payment projects as a project team member.
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex contracts, including in English.
- Provide legal advice and support to specialist departments.
- Actively monitor relevant legislation and case law.
- Take ownership of specific new or amended regulatory requirements as part of Regulatory Lifecycle Management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- As a fully qualified lawyer, you have professional experience, ideally in the payments or banking sector.
- Very good knowledge of contract law and IT law.
- Ideally, knowledge of payment services and payment transaction law, competition and trademark law, and, where applicable, antitrust law.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and approach.
- Willingness to work on interdisciplinary projects.
- Proactive, confident, and solution-oriented working style.
- Open-mindedness toward technological innovations and a willingness to digitize processes and tasks.
- Curiosity about or experience with AI.
- Fluent German and English.
