About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Upgrade client applications to the latest base versions
  • Analyze application landscapes, release notes, and code changes to assess upgrade impacts
  • Identify, debug, and resolve post-upgrade issues
  • Analyze client code to distinguish direct upgrades from changes requiring client confirmation
  • Debug custom and base code and provide workarounds or solutions to implementation teams and customers
  • Use Duck Creek upgrade tools to generate differential analyses and low-impact upgrade paths
  • Leverage AI-driven tools and processes to identify automation opportunities and reduce manual effort
  • Support product upgrade and certification processes using product implementation knowledge and technical expertise
  • Develop utilities and automate processes to make upgrades faster and more effective
  • Interact with customer counterparts to triage issues and present solutions
  • Review, mentor, and share knowledge with team members
  • Inform the Technical Lead and Project Manager about issues and risks affecting upgrade schedules
  • Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and client support teams
  • Perform other duties and activities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher educational level, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ related industry experience in system development and implementation
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Analysis, Development, and Triage
  • Demonstrated proficiency and implementation experience in Duck Creek Billing Product
  • Strong understanding of Duck Creek Billing concepts, including billing forms, billing plans, payment plans, Direct Bill, Agency Bill, EFT/payment processing, and billing transactions
  • Hands-on development experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, XML/XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, and Duck Creek extensibility/configuration
  • Experience with SQL query development, stored procedures, database troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Demonstrated proficiency in insurance domain knowledge
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting integrations between Duck Creek Billing and external systems
  • Knowledge of TFS, GitHub, and Git workflow is good to have
  • Experience in Duck Creek Billing upgrades/certifications and assessing customizations, integrations, and compatibility
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to reside within reasonable proximity to the designated location
  • Candidates are expected to complete interviews based on their own knowledge and experience; use of AI tools during interviews is not permitted
