About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and own Duck Creek’s billing product strategy and roadmap
  • Own invoicing, payment processing, commissions, collections, disbursements, reconciliation, and automation capabilities
  • Act as general manager for the product, owning strategy, execution, and financial outcomes
  • Translate insurer billing practices, payment preferences, financial controls, and regulatory considerations into product capabilities
  • Lead product discovery with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Serve as primary product steward for billing and finance personas
  • Lead application-level decision-support and AI-enabled capabilities for payment optimization, collections prioritization, anomaly detection, and exception handling
  • Partner with data science and analytics teams to integrate explainable models, scores, and insights into billing workflows
  • Guide adoption of straight-through processing with transparency, exception handling, and escalation paths
  • Ensure billing workflows, financial transactions, and recommendations are auditable, compliant, and governed
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture on scalable, technically sound billing capabilities
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Professional Services on value articulation, enablement, and product positioning
  • Operate as an individual contributor with significant judgment and autonomy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
  • 7+ years of experience in product management within SaaS or enterprise software environments
  • Demonstrated experience owning complex workflow – or decision-centric product domains
  • Experience designing, building, or integrating sub-ledger or General Ledger solutions within insurance or financial services environments
  • Deep understanding of P&C billing operations, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, commissions, disbursements, reconciliation, and regulatory and compliance considerations; hands-on experience with billing systems preferred
  • Experience delivering configurable, transaction-centric platforms, including rules-driven and AI-enabled or model-informed workflows
  • Ability to translate customer needs, regulatory constraints, financial controls, and analytical outputs into governed product decisions
  • Strong product management fundamentals, including decomposing complex billing and payment problems, prioritizing initiatives using value-, risk-, and effort-based trade-offs, and operating within agile delivery models
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with engineering, data, architecture, finance, and business leaders
  • Demonstrated judgment and autonomy within strategic direction and governance frameworks
  • Strong execution discipline, organizational rigor, professional documentation, decision rationale, and accountability for commitments and outcomes
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of job location; company does not sponsor visa petitions
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
