About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Record and generate information pertaining to the patient revenue process
- Gather and process information impacting patient revenue
- Meet high production and quality standards in compliance with DUHS policies
- Initiate and develop customer relationships to gather information and resolve issues
- Support accurate reimbursement and optimize customer satisfaction
- Operate general office equipment
- Generate letters and work on spreadsheets
- Enter and sort data
- Work independently and make decisions regarding individual work activities
- Follow assignments defined by the immediate supervisor or manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must reside in North Carolina
- High school-level knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles
- Two years of experience working in hospital access, physician office, or billing and collections, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze data, perform multiple tasks, and work independently
- Ability to develop and maintain professional, service-oriented relationships with patients, physicians, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to understand and comply with policies and procedures
- Additional training or working knowledge of related business
