About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Greet patients and assist with registration and scheduling.
Measure vital signs and collect health history.
Support physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and first aid procedures.
Assist with immunizations or injections when certified.
Assist patients with prescription requests, pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, charting, and filing.
Conduct onsite EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy testing.
Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms.
Provide excellent customer service while exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
Travel to assist other local clinics as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
For several clinical specialties, active medical assistant certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA may be required.
CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required.
May require phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire.
Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.
Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours/week.
Willingness to travel between Downers Grove and Elmhurst and assist other local clinics as required.
