About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a primary assistant to Technologists and Radiologists under the direction of Radiology supervisors and Quality and Compliance Manager.
- Prepare scanning rooms for patient exams, including cleaning, sterilizing, and stocking supplies.
- Escort patients to scanning rooms and obtain pertinent information, including weight, height, health history, and symptoms.
- Assist with exams and procedures, including workflow, positioning, contrast preparation, medical coils, phantom handling, and exam/procedure preparation.
- Assist the Radiology Coordinator with distribution of exams to Radiologists.
- Connect Radiologists with ordering providers to report STAT results.
- Assist the Radiology QA and Compliance team with data projects.
- Perform quality control procedures and maintain department and patient areas.
- Clean, disinfect, and/or sterilize coils and equipment according to safety and OSHA standards.
- Maintain department logs and stock clean linen; empty soiled linen receptacles.
- Document patient information, medications, visit reasons, and symptoms.
- Follow department safety and contrast preparation procedures using lab and surgery/implant reports.
- Complete necessary department paperwork and prepare patient paperwork according to guidelines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED required.
- One year of experience.
- One-year training in medical office/recent ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Cleans, disinfects and/or sterilizes coils and equipment following safety and OSHA standards.
- Utilizes appropriate Hyperspace/Amicas computer functions.
- Monday-Friday availability, 9am-5pm.
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
