About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform sonographic procedures according to department standards in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures to reduce anxiety and enhance comfort.
  • Produce examinations meeting image quality standards and department protocols.
  • Submit images for physician interpretation.
  • Verify patient demographic information, clinical diagnosis, and required technical results.
  • Complete all technical data entry components before the end of shift.
  • Monitor and reorder stock supplies, rotate dated items, and maintain clean, orderly imaging rooms.
  • Report equipment failures.
  • Support organizational changes.
  • Adhere to institutional safety procedures.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary patient care with nurses and physicians.
  • Model customer service principles focused on innovation, service excellence, and teamwork.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • ARDMS certification required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • One to three years of ultrasound experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working between our Naperville and Lisle offices.
