About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain applications responsible for ingesting data into the Dun & Bradstreet Contact Pipeline
  • Take ownership of existing applications for further development and improvements
  • Analyze application performance and throughput blockers
  • Work with senior data engineers and other team members to remove application bottlenecks
  • Analyze codebases to increase performance
  • Analyze datasets to identify process improvements and bugs
  • Create metrics from existing applications to identify performance and throughput improvement areas
  • Perform code reviews and test team members’ code changes
  • Work as part of agile teams using lean principles and SCRUM methodology
  • Work closely with related groups to ensure business continuity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferable in computer science, mathematics, data science, or a related field)
  • Experience with Python for application development (2-5 years)
  • Experience with SQL for data analysis and querying (2-5 years)
  • Ability to work independently to deliver critical projects on time
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work closely with others in a team
  • Experience with hosted environments, AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers preferred
